Easter Egg References

While collecting eggs for the Noble title, I noticed a reference to Pink Floyd and a funny dialog:

One of the few Holiday Events that a 20 Trial account can complete, and, it comes with a Title. Cho’gall is not a realm that is friendly for the Alliance, so, this one was particularly difficult. In addition, the Alliance population is quite small, so, finding the Alliance level 18+ accounts was almost as difficult as getting the Horde accounts.
Most of the achievements were easy. Had I done a little planning, I would have died at the crater rim above the lake in Un’Goro crater as I found out you can’t lay the eggs while swimming. After I got the rest of the achievements, I ran to Orgrimmar, hid behind a building, found my first target, mounted up and ran to get the bunny ears on a Female Tauren. I was killed rather quickly, but, with a corpse walk back, I had time to find the next female race that I needed. I would rez, put the bunny ears on, get killed rather quickly, and, walk back.
The last thing I needed was a Female Troll, so, had one targeted, rezzed, got the achievement, bam, dead.
As a trial account, the hardest part was being turned into a rabbit for the Un’Goro achievement – I ran an instance and had someone transform me at the end, and I had queued up from Un’Goro Crater. Other than that, most of the achievements were fairly straightforward.

A Level 20 Trial Account Priest Healer
Written by cd34.
Brevisano is my Gnome Priest that mostly heals dungeons, but, sometimes ventures into battlegrounds. The queues take quite a bit more time to pop for Warsong Gulch, so, it is a lot of waiting around. Dungeon Queues pop in under four minutes most of the time, so, when you want to actually play, it is only a few minute wait.
My second character was a priest which became my main account. From time to time I renew my account to play, but, I don’t have a lot of time. Blizzard introduced Free to Play up to Level 20, and I thought that might be interesting. I was pretty happy with my gear until I was told that one of the weapons I was grinding honor to get, was also available through Darkmoon Faire.
So, with a little bit of work this weekend, I did a little more gearing up:
[Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat] (or [Flying Tiger Goggles])
[Brilliant Necklace]
[Faerie Mantle]
[Tumultuous Cloak] (of the elder)
[Robe of Kelris] (+15 health)
[Mindthrust Bracers] (+1 Spirit) (or [Crystalline Cuffs])
[Devout Aurastone Hammer] and [Mystic Tome] (or [Eerie Stable Lantern])
or
[Rod of the Sleepwalker] +3 intellect 2H
[Firebelcher]
[Magefist Gloves] (+16 armor kit)
[Girdle of Nobility]
[Leech Pants] (+16 armor kit)
[Nimbus Boots] (+16 armor kit)
[Deep Fathom Ring]
[Gloom Band]
Obviously, to get the +16 armor kits, you need to have Leatherworking to 100. The easiest way to do this is in Wailing Caverns. The mobs are level 17-18 and drop a fair amount of Medium Leather – and you can convert the Leather to Medium Leather as well.
If you want to use the Tome, you need to get Inscription to 100. Likewise, if you want to use the +3 Int to 2H, you need to get Enchanting to 100. To use the Flying Tiger Goggles, you need to get Engineering to 100. Jewelcrafting only needs to be leveled to 75 – unless you intend to fully ‘twink’ your trial account and max out each of the skills to 100.
As an added bonus, if you do these while Darkmoon Faire is here, you can raise the skill level to 95, do the Darkmoon Faire quest to max the skill at 100 which is usually the most expensive five levels of each of the skills.
With the above setup, I have 2165 Mana with 98 Spirit for decent regen during dungeons. With 202 Spellpower and the 5% buff from doing a random dungeon, renews tick 77-78. I might still change a little gear around, but, prior to the BoA mace, renews were ticking for 67.

Soloed Dark Iron Ambassador – Rare from Gnomeregen
Written by cd34.
While leveling Qicksfour on Whisperwind, we were running Gnomer when my twink senses said, check for ‘Dark Iron Ambassador’.
A few /tar Dark Iron Amb later and hey, he’s there. I asked if we could kill him, and the tank said sure, but, we went in to kill Thermaplug. After we downed Thermaplug, I asked again, everyone but the tank left. We went to kill him, the tank got to half life, left party and I ended up soloing two of the mobs to wait for the Dark Iron Ambassador. It was a little too close for comfort, but, with some creative hunter footwork, they were downed and I only needed to wait for the Ambassador.
A minute or so later, after I’ve gotten back to full health, he comes down the ramp, and I kill him rather easily – hoping for the [Glass Shooter] or the [Emissary Cuffs], but, end up with [Royal Diplomatic Scepter].
